“Only the Sound Remains” is a poem by Forough Farrokhzad, a pioneering feminist Persian poet who passed away nearly 60 years ago at the age of 32, published in her final book “Let Us Believe in the Beginning of the Cold Season.” In her final book, she expressed a profound philosophical perspective on life, foreshadowed her own death, and also recorded her recitation of the poem. My goal was to visualize her sound as well as the essence of these poems through my poster design.
